Jayson Tatum makes honest admission after Knicks’ unreal Game 4 win

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum weighed in on the Knicks’ historic 29-point comeback victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The New York Knicks were able to pull off a win after a tip-in by OG Anunoby to go up 3-1 in the series.

In an interview with Front Office Sports, Tatum confirmed that he did watch the game.

“I did. I watched last night…a pretty special game.”

Tatum was then asked if it hurts seeing the Knicks in the NBA Finals instead of the Celtics, who won the NBA championship in 2024.

“I’m not rooting for anybody. I’m also not rooting against anybody,” Tatum explained. “I think it does help that I’ve won a championship already, so it helps me sleep a little better at night, but, you know, I just enjoy watching good basketball games.”

In the interview, Tatum also weighed in on the ever-evolving debate about who is the face of the NBA. Tatum didn’t name one person and says that he believes it’s a group of guys.

“I think it’s a handful of guys., I think the NBA is in a amazing place… I think there’s five, six, seven, eight guys that, you know, have their own brand, have their signature shoe, um have competed for championships… that people are fans and kids all around the world are drawn to. and I think it’s just a really good balance. Like I mean I feel like if you ask 10 different people you might get eight different answers. Um and I think that’s a good thing.”
