Nicole Kidman was the inspiration for Taylor Swift’s viral moment at the NBA Finals, and now the veteran actress is chiming in on what she thought.
Swift, alongside Haim sisters Alana, Danielle, and Este, wore custom New York Knicks shirts to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, June 10, to witness the Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4.
While Swift wore the “Stevie Knicks” edition of the shirt, Danielle wore the “Knickolas Cage,” edition of the shirt. Alana’s t-shirt read “Knickelback,” and Este wore one that was inspired by actress Nicole Kidman that read, “Knicole Kidman.”
The Oscar-winning actress shared the video of Swift on the Jumbotron at the game.
“Right there with you girls!” the actress wrote, alongside basketball and heart emojis.
She also shared the video of the friends wearing the blue T-shirts that were embossed with orange lettering, the team’s colors, as they danced to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
“My girls! I just wanna have fun!” Kidman captioned the Instagram Story post.
Alana, who has a business making custom T-shirts and bags, shared with Vogue that she made the shirts herself.
“I love making shirts for my friends; I have my friends come over all the time, and I’m like, Do you want to make shirts?” Alana told Vogue.
Alana revealed that Swift asked her if she could make the shirts and then they started brainstorming on the puns.
“‘I want to wear this shirt to the game, can you make it for me?’ Swift asked Alana according told the outlet.
Alana responded to Swift, “‘I thought you would never ask, this is my dream.”
The Knicks will now face the Spurs for Game 5 on the road on Saturday, June 13 after their history-making 106-107 win in Game 4. Tip-off will be at 8:30 pm ET and if they are able to pull off another win, they will be bringing the NBA Championship back to New York for the first time in 53 years.
