Wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ offseason has been marred by off-the-field accusations. But now, he has crossed a major hurdle towards being a prime NFL contributor again.
The league as closed their review into Diggs’ court case. They found nothing that would warrant him breaking the personal conduct policy, via Adam Schefter of ESPN.
“The NFL closed out its review of the matter involving Stefon Diggs and his former chef,” Schefter said. “It said there was insufficient evidence to support a finding of a personal conduct policy violation.”
Diggs was originally charged with felony strangulation amidst a slew of allegations from his former chef. However, the receiver was ultimately found not guilty in court. With the NFL now saying no punishment is coming down, Diggs has been cleared of any wrongdoing from the alleged incident.
Which makes signing with an NFL franchise much easier. They won’t have to worry about a potential suspension coming in. Diggs, who will likely still have to answer a few questions before signing, will be largely judged by his play on the field.
During the 2025 season, he served as Drake Maye’s top option on the AFC champion New England Patriots. Diggs caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.
For any team in need of wide receiver help, Diggs now becomes a much more realistic option. It is yet to be seen what type of contract the four-time Pro Bowler is seeking. But Diggs’ focus has returned to on the gridiron after an offseason full of chaos.
