The Bulls’ theme song is one of the most classic intros in all of sports. It is synonymous with greatness and winning, with the 1990s dynasty team front of mind.
This marks the first time the World Cup has been played in North America since 1994, when the United States hosted. This year, there has been a bevy of expectations going into the tournament. Primarily, that the USMNT would at least get to the Round of 16, in pursuit of their first World Cup title.
In the last three tournaments (2010, 2014, 2022), the USMNT has reached the Round of 16. However, they never got past it.
As the game progressed, the Americans got a huge break from the start. Paraguay scored in their own goal to give the Americans a 1-0 lead.
As of this story being published, the USMNT is up 3-0 against Paraguay.
The Americans’ other two opponents in Group D include Australia and Türkiye. They will play their next game on June 19 against Australia in Seattle. Afterward, they will play Türkiye on June 25 in Los Angeles to close out the group stage.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup goes until July 19.
